This past weekend was full on! I had the great pleasure of crafting my time away starting with a weaving workshop on Friday night followed by a festival on Sunday in which I was asked to demonstrate ragrugging. Of course I was very excited for the build up to both events and as expected, a great time was had.
When I attend these types of events, that aren't particularly related to craft, I always like to think of it as "weeding out the people who truly love crafting". They tend to seek you out and before you know it, they have spent the day with you! Although there is something to be said about sharing your craft with passers by who, upon being asked if they would like to 'give it a try', warm very quickly to the idea of learning a new craft.
Below are some photos from our day at the MANX festival, a celebration for the people of the Iles of Mann (not the cats!). Pay particular notice to the last photo, a little model strutting his stuff on some of the rugs a friend had made.
Lately, I have been writing a lot about events that I have participated in. In doing this, I haven't spoken much about what's on the needles... Or the loom... or the knitting machine... I've been busy! Check out the Instagram feed for 'behind the scenes' photos of these projects and more!
