1) Choose any colour of card, slide into the frame and trace with a pencil. Cut out and keep as a template.
2)Lay template on any colour card, cut rectangle shape leaving a 2 -3 mm edge on all sides. This will ensure all your edges hide snug under the white frame.
3) Glue the back of the coloured paper, glue the inside flap of the frame. Press with fingers and allow to dry.
4) With permanent marker, right the name of the colour on the back of the frame in as many languages as you like. Use a translation app if you are uncertain of the correct spelling. Also, this helps other people to play the colour game with your kids! Or hey! Why not learn a new language!
I had a craft afternoon with my son recently where we ended up creating a really cool little project. I thought I'd share as it simple, fun and educational! That's really the best you can ask for when it comes to entertaining the kids! It only took some very basic steps to make our colour flashcards so if your kids are old enough to cut and paste, you might be able to show them how to get started and have a few minutes to yourself!
