I definitely know now that pre motherhood, I suffered deeply from "it won't happen to me". You see, I thought I would find pockets of time hidden amongst chores and behind baskets of more laundry when I was at home with my new baby. I thought I would get knitting time while the baby sleeps and before I knew it, the whole family would literally have knits from The Family Knitting Book. I hate to admit it, but I think I was wrong.
The truth is though, I need to get some stuff done. Workshop prototypes need to be made, handouts need to be typed, and swatches need to be knit. You see, I have been "working on" my TKGA master knitting course for a long time and I don't think that the word procrastinating cuts it anymore. I'm just not working on it and haven't been for almost a year. I pulled out my swatches and notes and to be honest there is quite a bit of work there. I've had enough now and want to hand the darn thing in. But when do I get to sit down and plug away at it without hearing another white goods appliance beep at me?
So this is a plea for all you mother's who are knitters. Tell me how you manage to squeeze in a bit of knitting. I will say this, if your advice is to knit in the bath - it doesn't work.
