A day when I wake up late, make a delicious breakfast and discuss the days activities with my husband. Neither of us is racing off to work or meetings. It's just the two of us and some easy Sunday plans of which include my second love - knitting.
I recently took a trip to the library and in amongst the craft books, my favourite section to visit, was a delicious treat from none other than the famous knitress and designer Debbie Bliss. The book entitled The Knitter's Year. 52 simple seasonal knits delivers just that! 52 lovely and great for all skill levels patterns that make you want to run to the LYS and pick your favourite colours in cotton, and cast on immediately. Luckily for me, I happened to have some cotton (just lying around - imagine that!) and I made myself a Lavender Bag from instructions on page 66. (I confess, I used a different stitch pattern to the Moss Stitch as I was feeling rather adventurous!)
After a photo and a coffee - presto! I give you my lavender bag with which I am very pleased (and so is my sock drawer!)
